Waiting for the Tide: Chalkwell, Southend on Sea

Well, what can I say. I’m staggered that my blip of Brighton Pier went down with you guys so well. Thank you so much. I don’t think I have ever had so many hearts and stars. You kept it at No.1 in the spotlight for almost 24 hours. I owe you all one☺

Many thanks also for your kind wishes for my mum’s 89th birthday. She will be delighted when I show her the comments.

I am away from home right now and getting to a computer is quite tricky. However, I have managed to get online for a short while at my son’s home in Dulwich.

So here is a quick blip from yesterday of the mud flats at Chalkwell when the tide is out. Not particularly interesting and around midday the light is quite flat and colourless.

I will finish replying to comments when I am back at home tomorrow. Tonight it is Upton Park for me, West Ham v Liverpool. Another 3 points to give away as we usually do. Why are ardent supporters of their sport often so masochistic☺
