I posted a postcard at the post office, and this is what I saw when I peered through the slot. The postcard slides down and lands right next to the postman's desk. I didn't hear it land, so couldn't tell whether it ended up in a sack or on the floor. But I do know the postcard arrived at its destination three days later.
