Just before we left.
An early morning moment noted.
Observed with bare attention.
Detachment.
Silence.
No words.
Pausing, before the rush of travel.
Grateful for so much.
Seeing.
Taking stock.
Carrying others hopes.

We drove all day
And into the night.
An 820 mile journey.

Tired today but tired in a good way.

"Of this place and of this time".
A day in a life.
Present, inside his world.
"Soaking it in", this place, this day.
What BW told me to do years ago.
Attentive to the rhthymns of the day,
Present to both worries and the joys.
All "the little things" that mean so much.

I missed his soft, high pitched voice.
His shy look.
All the words he knows.
"Hey guys, look at this", he often says,
With great enthusiasm.

Seeing his pure joy today
In digging for dinosaur eggs.

I thought.... he is happy inside.
Secure, here.
Much loved by his parents.

Parker's 3rd birthday.
A big deal.
A grand party held at Pishon Trail.
A Parkersourous party with his friends !

He is "so precious", as his Nana says.
Now, no longer a toddler.
A fine and very special boy.

Thankful for this day,
For these three extraordinary years.

Always, we begin again.
