my seoul

By myseoul

warm light from a strange place. the back of a rather interesting house. not many pitched roof red brick houses in seoul. this has been divided into a bunch of smaller units with all kinds of add on bits and pieces. apparently it was built during the japanese occupation for a foreign correspondent sympathetic to the independence movement. at a certain point he was imprisoned then booted out of the country, and somehow the house has managed to survive since then. this is extremely rare, since the vast majority of old places like this have been demolished.
