Beetroot and orange chutney

As I blip there's a fine vinegary smell permeating through the flat. Beetroot is so unbelievably messy but if it works then it should be a lovely chutney by Xmas - a wee 'minding' for people, and the flat should smell normal by then too, I hope!

It's my gran's jelly pot - still going strong. Last year I made well over a hundred jars of various things. If there's a diabetic epidemic in Edinburgh.....I take no responsibility!! Bet that was an essential piece of kitchen kit in my gran's day.
