I'm just mad about saffron

The fields and meadows are carpeted with autumn crocuses at the moment and when the sun is shining they open up to reveal their saffron inners. Whenever I see them I break out into the sixties hit song by the Scottish folk singer Donovan, much to SwiiPiper's annoyance but Piper herself seems to appreciate the song.
