Claim to fame

The small French village of Misson near Sisteron in the southern Alps has the claim to fame as the birthplace of the inventor of the speaking clock, one Ernest Esclangon. The sign is a suitable welcome.

He was a famous physicist at the time (1876 to 1954)and also has a crater on the moon named after him. He invented the speaking clock in 1933 and it is still going; 36p per call through BT, dial 123. I wonder how many calls it gets today?
