Red to Gold

This is a post box which, in the UK, are normally red in colour. This is a gold painted Post Box at the top of steep hill in Lincoln (UK) just outside the entrances to the grounds of Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle. The background is that back in 2012 the General Post Office agreed to paint one of the post boxes in a town a gold colour if one of the athletes from that town achieved a gold medal at the Olympics.

The Plaque on the Post Box reads “Sally Rose, Gold Medal Paralympics 2012, Equestrian Team”
