Big girl bike with tat and trinkets

Now that Lyra enjoys riding her bike without stabilisers, her old bike doesn't really seem to fit the bill any more. Little things like the non-pneumatic tyres, the two sizes too small frame, and the non-braking brakes made me think now might be the time for an upgrade. After much deliberation she chose this frame to which we added every conceivable bit of tat we could. Tassels, basket, baby seat. After all, you're only four once.

This was us waiting for the bus home. She couldn't wait to get going.

Ellie wants one like it now, so I've made a deal with her that as soon as she can ride without stabilisers, I'll take her to the bike shop for an upgrade.
