Jumping Castles & Immersive Art?
"...you are about to enter a zone, a zone beyond sight, beyond sound, beyond the imagination itself. You are about to enter ....."
"shhhhh, Mum & Dad will hear us! Quick close the door, it's starting. Where's the blanket, I need something to hide behind..."

And each and every week this was the ritual. Sneak down to the lounge room to watch the Twilight Zone, unsure of whether we were more scared of the stories or the risk of getting caught by Mum & Dad. To be honest I think the anticipation was the most exciting part!!
"shhhhh, it's about to start. Hey where's John gone? He was right there a minute a go! Don't crinkle the chip paper, it's not funny. Quick turn the lights off, it's starting"
The X Files had had the same effect. We gathered at a mates house every week, scaring each other stupid with stories of urban myths and supposed fact associated with the show...the anticipation was so exciting & started building days before.
"Wow, how cool is that , it's like a giant jumping castle! I wonder if I'll get clostraphobic? Hope I don't get lost in there....this was an awesome idea!!"
Exxopolis Luminarium is an immersive art installation created by Architects of the Air. Constructed in 2012, it travels the world & from the outside looks like the kind of jumping castle only a genius could think of...
Inside, this space is tranquil, thought provoking and at times overwhelming in it's beauty. Everybody is seeing each space differently, choosing their favourite, lying upside down taking in the energy, seeking clarity and finding a surreal peace.
This picture is from the green room, the final chamber & I felt a thinking room where reflection was easy. If you should ever get the chance explore this space, it really was an awesome jumping castle and a beautiful place.
One might say, it was unexplainable....it was beyond the imagination itself.....
