Calico and Co. are back!

Outside today, shoveling horse poop onto the flatbed trailer so we can move it.

This is devil's club.

Of all the horrid plants in the world, devil's club is the worst! Not only are the berries poisonous, the whole darn plant is evil. Picture this: a light brown, 1/2-1 inch thick dry looking stick is growing out of the ground. It is about 2 feet tall. It has huge, 1x1 feet leaves shaped like ones from a maple tree. This is devil's club. The stick part of it is coated with huge, 1/2 inch spines, and the backsides of the leaves have spines too! Nasty! It grows almost everywhere you would want to hike. It sucks.

I think you can tell why it is called devil's club.
