Coniston Water

A walk along the Prom this morning followed by a FaceTime call with No2 son. He was particularly chirpy and I'll be seeing him in a couple of weeks for his brother's birthday which is all good.

Much as I love living in Cumbria and feel I have found my true 'home' here, I do miss the boys and wish I could see them a bit more often and without having to plan it so much in advance. Don't know the answer to that one but it has been bothering me more than usual today.

Popped out this afternoon and Coniston Water took my fancy. I found a new vantage point on the east side of the lake. The water level seems very low to me. I had hoped to get a cup of tea somewhere but everywhere was heaving with people enjoying this lovely weather, parking was difficult and there were long queues.

So I had tea at home and very nice it was too. I think I'll go and make another.
