Rock kestrel, Bossieveld

Saturday was one of those lovely nice-busy days, but also meant that I didn't get a chance to blip anything.

I don't have a decent long lens - my longest is a 200 mm kit lens - and bird pics are more as an aid to identifying them at home than anything else. This rock kestrel sat on a telephone pole for quite some time, and the pics were good enough to identify it. I thought of posting one of them, but quite liked this one too.
