Whether the weather

We had all sorts of weather today, but the showers seemed to either skirt around us or only last a few minutes. So it was a day of constantly putting on or taking off layers. We walked up high, passing many lakes, most of which our dog went swimming in, and, after a good hearty mountain hut lunch, we ambled back down to the valley below.
It wasn't hard to believe it was the first day of autumn as there are many signs, not least that the hillsides are changing their colours.
