Passionate Chef

This is Chef Octavio. He is my instructor at the Laguna Culinary Arts School. Tonight's basic cooking class went from 6pm to 11:30, exhausting but fun. Tonight was protein night so we prepared chicken breasts in a lemon caper sauce, fillet mignon in red wine sauce and chilean sea bass in tomato herb salsa, with sauteed veggies. In this shot, Chef is showing us how he can fling a pan of veggies in olive oil about a foot in the air and land them back in the saute pan perfectly flipped without losing any on the stove. Last week I tried this at home and it didn't go so well. It will take some practice. We also made our own vinaigrette dressings using a variety of vinegars and herbs. Now I'm full and tired.
