Stokesay Castle

I started the day in the audience for BBC Radio 4's Saturday Live at the Abergavenny Food Festival. It was a great pity that the discussion about whether or not cheese on toast could appropriately be accompanied by bacon failed to mention the lovely piggies which now grace our market hall.. Also that the discussion on wine made a vague reference to Welsh wines but didn't mention our local Sugarloaf Vineyards.

Anyway, after a quick whizz round some of the stalls we took off and headed north. After lunch in Leominster we detoured to visit Stokesay Castle, of which this is the gatehouse.

Then on to Rorrington for a delightful evening chez Frankie, our Airbnb host.
