A shell from the beach on the title page of a book I was reading.

The book wasn't Bill Bryson's One Summer (because I only have that in e-form) but I can recommend that wholeheartedly - lots of entertaining facts and a look at a really dramatic time.

Thanks to all of you for the reception to what turned out to be my millennial blip yesterday! It basked in the spotlight like a... err... shark. A shark in a spotlight.
