Not For the Squeamish

I had the option of a few different scenic Blips for today (that I’m sure some people would have preferred I chose from) but this poor unfortunate porpoise caused a stir at work today. We often get reports of strandings but not normally within sight of our office. This mature female had somehow ended up dead and floating in Tobermory Bay. There were no obvious signs of death – a colleague kept telling people that it was a “healthy, mature female... apart from being dead, obviously”. I thought better of using one of the more gruesome tissue sampling pictures as that was probably a step too far. Pictured is someone from the local council taking the body away to be disposed of once we had all the information & samples that we needed.
