Equinox

At the end of the bough--its uttermost end,
Missed by the harvesters, ripens the apple,
Nay, not overlooked, but far out of reach,

Autumn officially started today. Believe it or not.

Update on the seal pup. It was fine today, plump and fluffy, still on the storm beach and still just above the incoming tide which I was glad to see was much gentler than yesterday's foamy surge. The mother was keeping a watchful eye from out in the bay. I've added a few more images of the two of them here.
