Past their use by date

Resorted to another still life today, been really cold and windy with squalls, decided to stay indoors until I can get rid of this bot, although am feeling better today.

There is something about hydrangeas especially the dried ones, but these are starting to lose their colour after quite a few months. They are in Great Aunt Mabel's old jug, every time I look at it I am reminded of her, a wonderful lady who was very special to me.

Played around with some textures and overlays, including using a section of one of the flowers as a layer with a soft light blend mode. Ended up playing for far too long when there are other things needing to be done...but enjoyed myself.
