Shoe Mania

This photo is taken in the only part of Manhattan thats connected to the mainland, The neighborhood of Marble Hill. (Don't worry if you never knew that most NY'ers don't either). Anyways it seems the tradition of shoe tossing is pretty strong in that area ;) I never knew why people did this -- the answer I get most often is 'cuz its possible'.
