Bird of Paradise.
The latin name for this striking flower is Strelitzia Reginae, but it's common name is "Bird of Paradise". They are indigenous to South Africa and can grow to 6 foot tall.The flowers stand above the foliage at the tips of long stalks.They are pollinated by birds.When the birds sit to drink the flower nectar the petals open to cover the birds' feet in the pollen.
