Fading fast

Heading towards the end of the year for dragonfly spotters and this male Brown Hawker is definitely past his best, although he was certainly not inactive, patrolling his stretch of the riverbank before occasionally settling for a rest which let me get this picture.

He wouldn't stay in one place long enough, when in the air, to get a flight picture :(
