King Dustin

King Dustin will be joining his family in a few weeks. Yesterday I had the adventure of attending his baby shower - my first ever baby shower!! Baby showers are not really a big thing in the UK (or at least I've never been to one!) and I've usually got to know friends here only after they have had their babies. So I was excited and a little wary of what to expect.
Thanks to J and A and their Moms for giving me a great first baby shower experience. We got to enjoy delicious food and drink, play fun games including guess the tummy size - we cut ribbon to the length we thought J's tummy might be, identify the chocolate "poop" in diapers and score points for the contents of our mommy purses. I lost out on that one badly after having emptied my handbag that morning thinking - I am going out without my child!
It was nice to see the whole family together and to meet more of their supportive friends. Best wishes to them on the last stages of this part of the journey and may Baby Dustin live up to his parents dreams and be just as healthy and amazing and clever as their other kids - and maybe one day live up to the dream of becoming a Kings hockey player!
