Spider season

A bumper crop presumably helped by the unusually large numbers of midges and other little flying things around this year (apparently).

Was saddened to see a press release on Twitter just now announcing the closure of Mello Mello as of today. It was one of my favourite bars in Liverpool - the perfect place to escape with a beer and wifi of an afternoon after work or when things were quiet. It will be missed, but hopefully return in another place sometime soon. There was nowhere quite like it.
