A view from St Swithin

A ramble in Stonhaven

Pottered down to Stonehaven this afternoon - to take advantage of some warm , sunny but at times fairly misty weather . Quite a few folk about - with obviously a number of holidaymakers on the go judging by the numbers of foreign accents we heard . The old town and harbour hasn't changed much from the days we used to come down as kids to our caravan next to the pool , but lots of new housing on the periphery of the town .
Took the up and down costal path up Bervie Brae and walked to Dunnottar Castle which must be one of the most dramatic castles in the country . Lots of folk about (its an Aberdeen Public Holiday ) and needed a sit down and a cuppa in Stonny when we got back to the harbour .
