A bit of history

In its heyday, RAF 14MU employed thousands of people at the huge site north of Carlisle. More recently it was the site where much of the equipment for the Falklands and Kuwait wars was kept and dispatched from. Now the area is mainly in private hands and being redeveloped as an industrial and storage site. I cycle past this store on my way to work now and can imagine what it must have been like in the past.
