Autherley junction

Decided I wanted to visit part of the canal network I hadn't visited before despite being close to where I worked. It has been a lovely cool but sunny day and there were several choices of photo from a colourful group of narrow boats nestling by the shop and lock prior to Autherley junction. I chose this one however for the sweeping curves of the bridge. Here you can see the Shropshire Union Canal joining to the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal.

A delightful short walk which made a change from the packing.
