Everything changes

On my way home from work today I decided to snap a photo of this restaurant, Greifinn, here in Akureyri. I had promised myself over a year ago to post a photo when this just-started paint-job was finished but weeks and months passed and the transformation of the building took a long time. Now it seems to be finished. Another big change can be seen on the traffic island where trees have been planted.

And talking about change...
I find old photos very interesting and especially if I can compare the landscape in the photo to the same place as we see it today.
In this comparison (bottom picture) I tried to take a photo from the same spot as the older one (on the top) from the year 1907. Interesting to see the changes, right?
