nether springs

I am spending a few days at Nether Springs with the Northumbria Community, a new monastic community who are this week hosting a retreat on hearing the heartbeat of God. It is good, but painful, to be here and sifting through some of my grief for Mum and my fears for a future on this earth without her.

This picture was taken in a tiny prayer shed in one if the gardens where I hunkered down with a cup of tea, my bible and a large box of tissues.
