The Viking!

Our stay in Pembrokeshire was in a self- catering studio, off the beaten track under the Preseli Mountains. It was part of a disused watermill with lots of land made into a nature reserve and corner of this had been made into a Green Woodcraft area. Woodman Will made chairs, stools, small tables, farm gates etc. His lathe is a copy of the Viking Pole Lathe found in the Viking Museum in York, and he uses this full time.
This old Viking is husband Tony turning on Will's Pole lathe,- very different from his own working lathe. All goes to prove the saying that'Old Woodturners don't retire they just keep on turning'.

I treated myself to a Will serving spoon.
