Horse logging

I had a fascinating day at a woodland management demonstration event in Perthshire today. The highlight was watching this team extracting timber from an economically sustainably small woodland in an environmentally sensitive way. It was great to spend some time on the ground hearing about practical management issues and approaches and meeting some interesting people along the way.
