Shady lane

The streets in the village are lined mainly with oak and plane trees. Sadly, a lot of the oaks have had to be removed because of disease. There still are enough trees to create shady streets, with the tree canopies touching across the divide, the gaps not really showing. It's lovely to saunter in their shade on a hot summer's day, and of course in winter the bare trees let the sun through.
