Bonus motifs

I once altered a dress for my mother and it was made of beautifully embroidered silk. I had to remove small cap sleeves, and was delighted to find that I had a complete motif on each sleeve. So I appliqued them together onto a piece of linen, put a fancy embroidered edge on it, and gave the resulting mat to my mother together with her altered dress.
We had a lazy morning after our exciting day yesterday. My sister enjoys my iPad, playing every different solitaire and word game, even challenging my on line Scrabble opponents for me. We spent time in the garden, dead heading, while Normous cooked lunch. My sister went home this afternoon and we are settling back into our rut.
