Watch out! Torpedoes at 12 o'clock!
Flash is sneaking up on Chichi to round her up. Again. Chichi turning into a very affectionate bird who comes up for cuddles and treats, and chirrups and gurgles in a very chickeny sort of way. She's top dog when it comes to the other chicken, who is still nameless. Neither bird is impressed by Flash's attention especially the little one, after she was 'rounded up' from the back of the shrubbery in a neighbour's garden and herded up the path to the chicken house, a hilarious sight from behind. Flash's instinct is very well developed!
The back wall has been limewashed on the new render. I went to pick up the limewash at the crack of dawn on Saturday en route to the rehearsal for the oratorio at Sparkford. However, Jo hadn't been able to make it as the main pigment is no longer available. I chose this one from a square inch of colour on a grubby hand-painted colour chart which he made up in 20 minutes flat so I still arrived in Sparkford on time. I was a bit concerned that it would be very, very pink. However, it looks pretty good on the wall, so I can live with it.
