Whale Tail

These birds are sitting atop a statue of a Whale's Tail in the loch at Drumpellier Country Park, Coatbridge.

This 12ft high statue was created in 1986 by artist Neil McLeod, but was recently refurbished and it actually stands in the loch, having been placed on a specially-built plinth in February 2014.
