Morning sing-a-long
I looked out the bedroom window this morning to see four tui singing their hearts out in the kowhai tree. Grabbing the camera I ran outside in my p.j.s to try to get a picture. By the time I got close enough this was the only one left and he didn't stay long either. I am not sure why he had puffed himself up like this - they are normally a sleek bird. Probably something to do with territory as it wasn't cold. Tui are sometimes called Parson birds because of the white bobble at their neck.
I hope the neighbours didn't get an eyeful of me charging around the garden in my p.j.s early this morning.
