Cody Carson

This is Cody Carson, the lead singer in a band called “Set It Off.” When I was invited to go to Warped Tour 2013 I had no intentions of finding a band I actually liked. Most of the bands at Warped Tour are screamo. However, my friends, Logan and Lauren talked me into watching Set It Off. When I first got to their stage, there were about fifty people give or take there. Once the band came out and Cody started singing, I just fell in love. A song or two into the show, a guy tapped me on the shoulder and asked me if I wanted to crowd surf. At first, I was very hesitant and said no. However, once my friends started doing it, I decided to stop being a baby and try it as well. During this show, I was in my first ever mosh pit! Boy oh boy was that scary. I was this little girl in a mosh pit with a bunch of rowdy, sweaty men. Due to the mosh pit, I was able to work my way closer to the stage. When the last song was being sung, Cody walked into the crowd and just stood on the fans and sang. Luckily, I was able to have the opportunity to hold Cody (even though he stepped on my face). After their performance, I needed to meet Cody. After searching all day I finally found him, and I got a picture with him and got him to sign the Set It Off album I bought. Cody is one of the nicest people ever, and I’m so glad to have been able to see him band perform, and then meet him!
