Over the summer I went on a trip to New York City with my gram and sister. We usually go to New York City every year with my gram to see a Broadway show and to visit our cousin Linda. New York City is my grams favorite place to visit as well as mine. When we got there we met up with Linda as soon as we got off of the bus. We made plans to do many different things throughout the day before we had to leave for the Broadway show. We took a taxi to the Chelsea's Market which is a bunch of shops with local artist and many different pastry shops. It was built inside of an old factory with all old brick work and many other cool features. After we left there we went to eat on this deck at a place called the Iron Skillet. Once we got back into the city Linda brought us to where we needed to be for the Broadway show. We were going to see Kinky Boots. It was a show about an failing shoe factory that needed a change and that's when they found Lola. Lola was a drag queen and believed she could help them if they made a shoe that was specifically, made for other drag queens and women. The show was hilarious and had me in tears from laughing so hard. This is a picture of the ceiling in the theater. The theater was beautiful and was so old. Kinky Boots will forever be my favorite Broadway show.
