Betwixt the devil and the deep blue sea
Ok, not quite. Short walk (shorter than we remembered) along the river today, ending with this weir across a stream. Mr B and the kids insisted on chancing the slippery rocks, big drop to one side and deep pool to the other. No-one came to any harm. Well, until Conor started his throwing things in the river game - he always asks about each object (stones, sticks, etc) if he can throw them and, without really thinking, I always say yes. Until I glanced down and spotted that the item he was asking about was a syringe. Nice.
Quick lesson ensued in what syringes are and why it's not a nice idea to touch used ones, along with an explanation that when mammy shouts it doesn't always mean you've done something wrong.
Last full day in France, bit of a cloudy one, but we have a sumptuous feast to come courtesy of our guests who did a spot of shopping today and - judging by the number of lamb chops and the amount of cheese - thought this was our first day rather than our last one...
