Shelly beach
A day of unrepentant hedonism! We were invited to Robert and Finola's for coffe and to admire their new kitchen - very funky, contemporary, loads of space, greens and reds and sexy drawers!
We took our coffee on the terrace overlooking Roaringwater Bay. It was delightful and far too nice to go straight home so they advised us to head off to Shelly Beach. We followed their instructions and went down tiny lanes, across fields, clambering down to the most beautiful and remote deserted beach, replete with elegant white shells. It looked Caribbean. Impossible to resist in fact. Caution and clothes were thrown to the wind and I leapt in only to hear the sound of approaching voices! From nowhere three women and their dogs appeared. Ah well. Thanks to Himself for the loan of his fleece as a towel!
We then investigated a delapidated house mindful of Sarum Stroller's Derelict Thursday tomorrow. Disappointingly it had been locked up but this one does have a bit of an air.
The day continued warm and I have just had another swim, this time joined by three other friends. See, it's not just me!
