Swings and roundabouts of gardening

One of the easiest veg to grow has got to be the fabulous tomato. One year I grew 40 plants in one season and it nearly shattered me watering them every day. This year with study I had about eight plants on the go and due to some neglect, forgetting to pinch out the growth tips and a lack of watering (despite the greenfingered efforts of my brother in law) the harvest has been pretty awful, literally a handful. The Italian trombone squash (I'll leave that to your imaginations) has embraced an opportunity of life with much enthusiasm. I stuck three small plants in these grow bags mid-July, watered very well and left, it's turning into a jungle! As they start to fruit I am now watering them more regularly.

In other news today fate worked in my favour twice beacuse of the kindness of others it's really appreciated making my life a little easier :-) feeling grateful.
