For the big weekend of golf (got Friday off to watch us absolutely stuff my friends over the pond in the Ryder Cup) I'm playing the Belfry tomorrow (funnily enough the R/C was held here in 2002). Now it's no Pebble Beach but is still one of the best courses in the U.K so I shan't grumble. However in remembrance to the wonderful Pebble Beach, CA, I shall be donning my new cap, towel and ball markers that I acquired from the Pro shop last Sunday. I don't care if I look like a walking advertisement.... it's going to be tough but much fun. A posh old dinner then follows then I nip off & drive all the way home in the early hours to settle on my sofa for the big event.
