While waiting for a Pronghorn buck to return with one of his wayward does, we watched prairie dogs pop in and out of burrows.

Scanning the back of Dog Town with my binoc's, I saw a much larger animal dive into a hole. At first I thought, a marmot. But of course, this isn't marmot territory

Then out of the burrow he climbed. A badger. A never-ever-seen-before-in-my-life badger. If I had an official bucket list, he'd be on it.
