Butter wouldn't melt!

So angelic when he is laid quietly at my feet. Unfortunately half an hour ago I had to take time out on the stairs ( that he can't reach ) as he would not let go of my trousers and was biting not just them but my leg too! I've been trying all sorts of things to distract him from this but once he gets hold he gets very cross and starts to growl and is determined not to let go! Any help and advice gratefully received!
