Conker

A couple of years ago, we taught the kids choir a song called Conkers. What surprised me at the time was that we had to tell them what playing conkers was all about.

Saw this wee chappie on the pavement when I was walking up to the post office. Time was when you couldn't walk along this bit road at conker season without having to make sure you weren't about to be clobbered by a stick thrown by a conker-hunting child. Guess they're not as exciting as a PS3!

This wee guy wouldn't have lasted 30 seconds on the pavement. Loads and loads still on the tree. Might walk past again tomorrow!!
