Swans flying west

After a day at the computer, report writing, I went for an evening walk while Pete cooked dinner, and for once was in the right place to see a beautiful sunset. Although I marvelled at the colours, I felt deeply sad as it was the first time for fifteen years that I'd walked round Ferry Meadows without a dog (or two) for company. Rosie is not strong enough to go far, though she's still enjoying pottering round the garden, as well as small amounts of tasty treats. But most of her time is spent sleeping on one of the many beds she has scattered round the house.
