Well! No matter how many things happened during the day, the thing that is going to stick in my mind about taking this picture was that Blip was off all evening after I had got it ready!

No uplloading.

No comments.

No blips to look at.

No stories to read.

No commenting.

No favouriting.

No rating.

Ok, so there were a lot of other things I should have been doing, but, did I get up from the computer and get on with life? NO! Just sat try and trying, time after time to connect.

This is what I said to one of my commenters about black backgrounds, if your interested,

Now, about black backgrounds (I couldn't live without them)! Get a large matt black, thickish cloth, avoid shiny or thin fabric. Set up a clothes maiden on dining table to drape cloth over. Turn off overhead room light. Place spotlight nearby. Make a card cone to put round the lamp to prevent light spill onto the cloth. (Use  a cool bulb in it or be vigilant to prevent it over-heating.) Keep subject raised above cloth and well in front of backdrop to help cloth be out of focus.  Shoot in macro or zoom.  Tweak light levels in PS to further blacken. Have fun, I'm hooked!
