... imagine that you've got your best frock on, hair beautifully coiffured, make-up perfect; hours later, having enjoyed rather more mojitos than are sensible on a Wednesday night out, disaster strikes - your much-prized (but cheap) platform shoes simply disintegrate & have to be discarded - you stagger home, barefooted ...
