Pontcysyllte Aqueduct

Built by Thomas Telford with ironwork by William Hazledine in the period between 1795 and 1805 at a total cost of £47,000. The aqueduct has a total length of 1007 feet and stands 126 feet above the River Dee. The cast iron trough is 11 feet 10 inches wide and 5 feet 3 inches deep.
